Booking terms and conditions.



1. Class capacities:

1.1 All swimmers in a small group class will all be roughly the same ability. 

1.2 Candice's Swim School (CSS) will inform the client if the child is in a level whereby they must move to a more suitable class.

2. Reservations and booking policy.

2.1. Candice's Swim School has 3 terms a year, which roughly follow the local school term. We run classes term time only.


2.2. Please note classes need to be booked and paid for on a half termly or termly basis. Therefore the amount that is invoiced will vary per half a term or term depending on the number of weeks in the term.

2.3. Once you are enrolled, your booking will repeat and you will be invoiced every half a term or term unless you give us 2 weeks written notice of cancellation.

2.4. Lessons will be invoiced 2 weeks weeks before the end of every half a term.

2.5. To secure a slot, payment must be made before the start date. If you have not paid you may not be allowed to swim.

2.6. If you decide to start swimming part way through a term, that’s no problem, we will simply charge you for the number of weeks remaining.


2.7. If we decide to run holiday crash courses these will be separate from the termly courses and are invoiced as a one off payment when you indicate to us that a pupil would like to attend.

2.8. It is the client’s responsibility to have reviewed the booking information and venue information prior to the lessons. This will be sent to the client via email. CSS will not offer a replacement lesson, credit or refund for any client that misunderstands the booking or venue information. The booking information and venue information will be sent to the client via email and prior to the first lesson to allow time for the client to contact us if they have any questions.

2.9. By making a booking and payment with CSS, the client has agreed to the terms and conditions.

2.10. CSS will offer a maximum of one permanent lesson time change per term if there is alternative availability. CSS are not responsible for schedule conflicts. Whilst CSS will do their best to accommodate an alternative day or time, future replacement lessons, credit or refund will not be offered.

2.11. CSS reserves the right to review and change prices of the lessons termly.

3. Lesson protocol:

3.1. CSS can only offer lessons, in the Non-Swimmer level and beyond, to those swimmers that are 2 years and older.

 3.2. Parents and guardians unfortunately, cannot get into the pool during the lesson. 

 3.3. Children should not eat within the hour before their lesson.

 3.4. No food or drink are permitted on poolside.

 3.5. Children are not permitted in the pool prior to the lesson starting and should leave the pool once the lesson has finished.

 3.6. Children must be delivered to the swim teacher at the start of the lesson and collected promptly at the end.

 3.7. The swim teacher is responsible for the child for the duration of the lesson only.

3.8. The child must always be supervised by a parent or a guardian. Parents and guardians cannot leave the venue.

 3.9. The client must arrive at the venue no earlier than ten minutes before the start of their lesson. This is to avoid overcrowding on poolside.

3.10. The Marriott Hotel have a policy that Parents and guardians are not allowed to stay on poolside and watch the lesson. They can sit in the lobby area and return before the end of the lesson to collect your child/children. 

3.11. CSS cannot accept any liability for loss or damage to personal property.

3.12. CSS cannot offer exclusive use of the pool to a singular lesson or client.

3.13. Due to the methodology of Candice's swim School teaching, the swim teachers will often physically handle the child in a professional manner. The swim teachers can manipulate the child’s movement within the water to provide a quick result.

 3.14. CSS may refuse entry to a client, to a lesson if it is felt that their behaviour is unreasonable. A refund or credit will not be offered.

4.Swimmers health:

4.1. If a child needs to wear a nappy, a disposable swim nappy must be worn underneath their swimming costume/shorts.

 4.2. Nappies must be disposed of in the provided nappy bin at the venue.

 4.3. Children should not swim if they are unwell with illnesses such as chicken pox or diarrhoea. A child can return to swimming once their spots have crusted over. A child can return to swimming after 72 hours since the last diarrhoea symptom.

4.4. It is the client’s responsibility to inform CSS of relevant medical information regarding the child. This information needs to be included within the CSS registration form. Registration forms must be emailed or handed in person, prior to the child’s first lesson and will be shared with the appropriate swim teacher.

5. Missed lessons:


5.1. We are unable to give refunds, credits or re-book lessons for any non-attendance.


5.2. We try very hard not to cancel lessons. However, although our swimming instructors are nearly super hero's, they do occasionally get sick and sometimes our pools are closed for reasons beyond our control. In this instance we will arrange make up lessons. 

6. At the pool:


6.1. Swimmers should arrive suitably equipped to their lesson.


6.2. All property left in changing rooms are left at your own risk. Please make sure nothing is taken out onto poolside. 


6.3. Candice's Swim School cannot accept responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal belongings. 


7. Privacy:

7.1. No camera or video equipment can be used at the pools or during lessons without prior express written permission from CSS.

7.2. CSS complies with GDPR regulations, as such we will not share personal data.


8. Cancellation policy:

8.1. Cancellations must be sent in writing to info@[email protected].

 8.2. The client may cancel a booking within 7 days of the original payment date and receive a full refund .

8.3. CSS can offer a refund or a credit to those swimmers that have a long-term illness and have a doctor’s note stating that the illness will affect six consecutive weeks. CSS must receive the applicable doctor’s note within 7 days of the emailed cancellation explanation. The refund is only offered to the child that is sick, not siblings.

8.4. CSS are under no obligation to refund lessons for non-attendance.

8.5. In the unlikely event that CSS cancels a lesson, we will endeavor to provide a replacement lesson within twelve months of the cancelled class. CSS are not obligated to provide a refund or a credit.

 8.6 Sports Generation are not responsible for schedule conflicts, if the client cannot attend the provided replacement lesson option or options.

 8.7. Makeup lessons are only offered when a child has been sick and a doctor’s note has been emailed to candice's swim school via email.

8.8. Makeup lessons are subject to availability. CSS will endeavor to book a child in however if there is not availability, a refund or credit will not be offered.

 8.9. A child can have a maximum of two makeup lessons, per term.

 8.10. Makeup lessons must be used in the current term. They cannot be carried over in the next term unless the makeup lesson relates to a lesson that was cancelled by CSS. 

8.11. Makeup lessons cannot be taken in the intensive course.
